Is it really FREE to list on CatDog?
Yes!
I have more than one breed/category that I want to list - is it still free?
Yes!
How do I place a listing?
First you must go to the REGISTER page a select which Membership Plan you would like to have.
After you have completed the registration process you will receive an email which requires you to authenticate your registration (this just ensures that the person who registered used their own email address and not someone else's) - all that is required is you click the link to confirm.
After you have authenticated you can then Login to CatDog using your chosen username and password in the Login area (right side column).

Can I place my Listing in other COUNTRIES categories too?
No you can't (read on). You can only place a listing in the country where your hobby/business is based. HOWEVER, if you ship your products or services internationally then you can ALSO add your listing in the World-Wide section. (remember Standard Members can place up to four listings free anyway).
Why isn't MY country showing?
As demands requires we will open up sections dedicated to other countries - the current sections are based on demand and visitors. If you want your own country section then first get your fellow breeders/advertisers to register and place their listing in the World-Wide section and add us as a link on your website - it will help get more people along from you country - then send me an email. We are more than happy to open up more country zones for our members...
I Can't Login!
- Did you use the correct USERNAME and PASSWORD? (If you have forgotten them then click either the "Forgot your Password" or "Forgot Your Username" link on the right)
- Have you authenticated your registration? (Check your email inbox)
- Did you select a Membership Plan and then registered your details and confirmed? (If not then you didn't complete the process correctly)
- After you registered were you presented with a thank-you confirmation page? (if not then you didn't complete the registration process correctly)

How long will it take for my Listing to be approved?
Usually the same day (sometimes within minutes) and certainly within 24 hours. Remember we do like to get our beauty sleep (we need a lot of it nowadays) so please be patient if your listing is not approved immediately.
What is the DELETE button beside my listing?!
It's not as bad as that! ONLY if you are logged on will YOU will be able to see it and ONLY you can see it - try logging out and then look at your listing - see, no DELETE button. Remember this is YOUR listing, so you can edit it or delete it whenever you want (read: 'Edit Your Listings' in the article "How Do I Place A Listing?")
I can't get my listing to complete.
The only reason for this is [a] you didn't click Submit when you were finished or [b] you added an image and it/they were too big (file size) and "killed" the listing (most likely). You always get a "Thank-you...have been submitted" message/screen if your listing was successfully sent through for approval.
Try and add your listing without images and 'Submit', then once approved try adding an image again.
I added an image but my listing disappeared - what happened?
If you tried to add an image that is over 1MB in size your listing will fail to load and everything will 'die'. It is VERY important that you keep your image sizes within these parameters, and they can only be jpeg, gif or png files. If you are unsure then try adding a listing and submitting without an image then once the listing is approved log on again, select "Your Listings" from the right side menu, click EDIT and then try adding an image.
I added FIVE images but only one appeared in my listing
Only those members who have selected the Premium Membership plan (or greater) qualify for five images per listing - Standard Members are only allowed one. To upgrade (at anytime) simply Login and then select 'Your Subscription' from the right side menu column.

Seriously, don't be shy about the content of your listing, a one sentence listing might be all you have time to write - but will it catch the eye of a possible client? It is afterall an ad you are writing.
We will not approve blank or empty listings and we do not approve one line listing either.
Why do I HAVE to renew my free Standard Membership every six months?
We ask that you do this to ensure you are still 'there'. If you have moved on, change email addresses, website etc then it leaves us with a listing that goes nowhere and that means the consumer will not be able to contact you because your listing is no longer valid and of course it means other 'live' listings are unfairly penalised by your 'dead' listing appearing in the same category as theirs.
So every six months we ask that you renew your membership (we send an automated reminder). If you don't renew we can only assume you have moved on - so we delete your listings and your membership (nothing personal).
If placing a Listing is Free - what do I have to pay for?
Ahhhh...good question.
Still Nothing! If you want to retain your free Standard Membership plan then you can!
We do have a number of 'subscription' Membership Plans (pay monthly and cancel at anytime). These give you some extra benefits which will certainly help promote your business/hobby even more. You can review the various plans here - they are priced with the small & medium sized business and hobbyists in mind, very affordable!

Absolutely!
As long as it is about Cats or Dogs then feel free to send it along - it can be about anything: serious, humour, results (eg Dog or Cat Show), upcoming cat or dog event, pet advice etc etc - just remember I am the editor-in-chief, I get the final say on publishing it, so that means no personal agendas or self promotion or similar gets through - yes, I have the proverbial green pen I am willing to use it! All articles published will be attributed to you and will have a link back to your listing.
