The 'Home' tab link essentially takes you back to the 'frontpage' of JungleBook. This where all the 'action' for the entire JungleBook can be seen. On this page you can see the JungleBook members (Latest, Active, Popular). You can see and watch the latest Pet Videos that have been uploaded by members, read about what is the most recent things that members have done on JungleBook.
You can see who is online and look at the most reent photos that have been uploaded by the JungleBook community and Recent Group activities and the names of the most recent groups that have been started.
All of the above links will expand to a far greater list, so consider the frontpage as a teaser of what's inside...!
The Profile tab is where your personal profile and your applications will be displayed. A User Profile picture can be displayed from your images and it will be automatically resized.
The top on the right side of the page display your profile details. You may edit it through the edit button. Under the Profile details, shows the status updates of your Friends and a button to list all your friends
Your profile name will display some details. Karma, Member since, Last online and Profile view(s). Below them, you may update your status, such as what are you currently up to, etc. This board will also update you with any incoming message or friend request.
Moving on, you will find four modules buttons. First is "invite friends" button to allow you invite friends from your contact email by keying in your friend email. Next are "Add Photos", "Add Apps" and "Start a Group" Button.
Other than above, the Profile page also display other details. First is the update of the users latest activities. Continued with the list of applications that you have added on.
Karma is a user point-system used in JungleBook. It shows how active you are in JungleBook, points are awarded for almost every activity perfeormed by you when you are logged onto CatDog's JungleBook. Karma is shown by the number of CatDog logos are displayed in colour - the more the better the Karma!
Karma will only be activated only when you have uploaded a picture in your user profile, otherwise, you will forever have no Karma points!
Karma or points are awarded (and deducted) for many things and you get more points for some activities than others...eg you get points when you: Add An Application, Approve A Friend Request (that's when someone asks to be your friend), but you lose points when you remove a friend, when you add (start) a group or join a group, or add to a discussion in a group you get points...there is dozens of ways you get and lose points, we're not going to tell you which ones - but simply being normally active will increase your Karma thus increasing your profile on JungleBook.
The Groups tab shows which groups you have joined and the ones you have started yourself. Starting your own Group is a good way of getting people together from all over the world who are of like mind. For instance you could be a Golden Retriever dog breeder and want to a group for breeders of this type of dog. As the Admin of that group you can make the group only able to be joined on approval or allow anyone to join.
Groups are a fun way to share a common interest - you could have start a group called the World's Ugliest Dog Group (or the World's Cutest Puppy, or Cutest Cat etc) then you can invite people to join (or they can join by themselves), post a picture and then everyone could vote...well you get the idea!
If you create a Group don't forget that the saying "if you build it they will come..." might work in the movies but maybe not here! We recommend that you get an invite out to those friends you would like to join so they know about it, and then they will tell someone and they will tell someone and so on and so on...!
